I emailed Kershaw close to 15 days ago about some replacement pocket clip screws for my new Piston since they both stripped during the process of changing the pocket clip. I was told they would be mailed out right away does it usally take this long to recieve that kind of stuff or should i write to them again seeing if there was a mistake???? Not saying anything bad about Kershaw here just wanted to see if this is normal amount of wait time?

I would send a follow up email as that seems like an unusually long wait for something like that from Kershaw.

Yeah, normally kershaw has the screws at your door with in two weeks of the email give or take a day or two, try shooting em a email to see whats going on!

I prefer calling them for parts. It's always a sure thing after I call and speak to someone.

I have also found that a phone call works better. It's just nice to actually talk to somebody instead of emailing for a change! GREAT customer service, Kershaw!

I always call as well. Usually I have the parts in two weeks but most of the time it is sooner rather than later.

10-4 on the calling in, only way to do it!
I have had it take a month before for a clip and a catalog. It will probably make its way to you in a couple days

K thanks if i dont have it in next few days ill call......sounds calling is the better way to go about it from get go from now on

Did you fill out a part request form on the website? That's how I was able to get my new ZT0560 clip quickly.

They just recently re-implemented the Parts Request Form. The new site tried to do away with it, but I guess the new system of sending an email via the site wasn't working very well. I know I emailed them about putting the Parts Request Form back up because it took three messages to them to get a replacement clip for my Piston.

that's odd
I called them up last month with an issue on my select fire
they had me print the the return form
dropped it in a traceable shipping box
3 weeks later, I had my knife back, well a new one in its place
but you get the idea

Yeah, I've asked about parts and they said to send the knife back. The pocket clip screws that come with the ZT 561 are like 3/16ths long and not quite long enough to grab on the scale side. After they told me to send the knife back I came across some 1/4 inch screws of the same thread size and they worked fine. So about the only "issue" I have with the knife is that the detente is a bit soft and shakes out pretty easily. I've seen a lot of $800 Hinderer XMs do the same thing, and Hinderer doesn't adjust detentes.

(Sidebar: Geez, the President just flew over the house. A whole echelon of heavy helicopters making a heckuva racket flying towards the Capital.)

Anyway, back to knives. So should I send this back? I have to send a Skyline back anyway, so it won't cost me any more to send the ZT but I feel sort of funny complaining about this little ol' detente problem. Plus, I can't play with it until it gets back...
