Hey there Kershawites. This is my first time in the Kershaw forum so let me start by saying hello. I have carried my composite Shallot every day since it came out and I absolutely love it. (upgraded from a Blackout) I have sort of babied the Shallot but the Blackout I beat the snot out of ( Including batoning with a metal hammer). It took it like a champ and kept asking for more. I had that knife with me while I was deployed and it did every task I asked of it with a smile on its face. I have since then passed it on to my best friend who is keeping it safe for me. I recently picked up a JYD composite and needed to order parts for it because it had some issues. It’s sad that something like this would stick out so much in today’s society but it’s becoming few and far between that you actually come across something like this. Kershaw’s customer service was impeccable! They were polite, friendly, helpful, and worked with me to get results; the pinnacle example of what customer service should be. A+ Kershaw, A+. Just wanted to put that out there. I’m sure most of you guys already knew this. Take care. Greg

They will take care of you either way. They have been excellent in my experience.

Yes its weird I have never experienced any customer service as good as Kershaw/ZT-KAI. Its scares me because I worry that they work so hard at pleasing customers that it might put them out of business. I don't see how they can account for the expense of it when their knives are such a great deal to begin with.

I feel like I want to pay for clips and screws, but they just send them for free.

I don't have enough good things to say about the customer service at KAI.

That fear has caused many a company to fail, great customer service only builds a Business !

I base this on the fact the most all other knife company charge for every little thing from sharpening to clips and don't replace a blade only grind it down more.

Kershaw asks nothing for any of this (even free return shipping), it just seems crazy, in a good way. So crazy I feel bad sometimes cause I have got at least a handful of clips, thats at least $5 each for the other guys.

Its what keeps me coming back for more, you are right its like reverse phycology, it keeps them at the top of my list for buying knives.

-more than a fan

And it's working dammit. I just keep on buying those dang Kershaw/ZT's! And will continue to do so. :D

Yup, Kershaw's excellent customer service, AND the fact that they have employee's so dedicated to their customers. To be honest, they make you feel like you are a good friend and a part of their family. No other knife company has made me feel that way. It is a good feeling to know they are their for you, even if it is just to chat. Will I continue to buy more Kershaws and ZT's? You bet I will!!(at least when momma lets me off knife buying restriction):D
