Hey guys. I'll be purchasing the Kershaw Cyclone pretty soon, but I had one question. On Kershaw's site, it shows the Cyclone with their sharp, angled thumbstuds, like the ones on the Storm. On most other pictures I've seen, it has normal round studs. I really do not like the angled studs on the Storm. What is the deal with that? Also, what is on your cyclone? Thanks.

The studs on my Cyclone, dated June 2006, are the round ones. The angled studs on the Storm II really don't bother me. I don't know why they used that configuration. I got used to them quickly. I would imagine the Storm may be harder to open due to less inertia from a smaller, lighter blade. I love em both.:D

Mine (Oct 06) has the round studs as well. I mainly use the flippers on my Cyclone and Storm, though. The Cyclone is a great knife, and you'll enjoy it.

I'm not sure what you mean by sharp thumbstuds, but Here are some close-up pictures of my Jun 06 example (full-size cyclone).

ks, the Cyclones all have the "round" studs. On occasion we need a little photo magic with a knife if we are in a rush to meet an image deadline. Sorry for the confusion.
