Just ordered this. Was looking for a reasonable large folder. For regular use. Don't like recurves. If the ZT 0200 came with a blade like this I'd be waiting on 2 knives today :D

Excellent choice! My personal favorite knife right there. :D

I've used the hell out of mine and it's still going strong.

I recently got 10 of these for some of my co-workers. They love em. I don't think there is more bang for your buck to be had in a large folding knife. They are discontinued but still easy to find.

Thanks for the feeback. I was jonesing ... hadn't bought anything in awhile (LOL)

Saw this and figured for $35 can't go wrong.

What's the model number and where's a good place to order one?

Is it one of the models that has optional assisted opening? If so, does it work well manually, with thumb studs only?

Model # is 1630

I ordered it on Amazon. But there are a lot of places. E bay has them everywhere.

Don't have it yet, so I can't answer your second Q.

1630 for the regular version, but there's also 1635 for the mini version. I got my second one on ebay for a little under 30$.

As far as I know, the Cyclone is the ONLY model that has on/off assisted opening. And yes, the knife does work without assisted opening (otherwise the on/off switch would be kinda useless, wouldn't it? ;)). Mine has the torsion bar removed altogether, making it a pure manual folder. I like it better that way.

Wow, I had no idea these were that cheap! Wish they had the track-tec inserts though, but I wish everything did.

Good buy!

I put 3M step tape (same as track-tech I think) on mine years back. It is still holding strong. It is not on the clip side, a little easier on the pocket that way. These are a great deal at current prices. Even less than the original cost, which was still a good deal.

It's here ... " (arrived today)

First off, it's a big knife. Posted it next to my Vantage Pro for comparison.

Looks like a svelt ZT 0200 (to me) but without the recurve.

We're at the start of a 3 day ice storm (forecast anyway) so can't beat it up yet, but I'm sure there's a banister around here that needs "battoning" (LOL)

Cann't belive this is only $35. VERY happy with it.

"Thank you Kershaw"

I have the Mini. The Cyclone (and Mini) is a very solid knife, and for the $30-35 range (I got mine for $22 :D), it's a steal.

Nice pics, Cobra! Any chance you can take a picture that shows the Cyclone lock up compared to the Vantage Pro lock up?

I have the 1635 Mini Cyclone. It's one of my favorites, definitely "The" favorite in it's price range. I think I paid $27 shipped..

The 3M Stair Step tape is some very good stuff. I cover all my pocket clips with it. Great adhesive as it satys where you stick it!:)

This was my first real knife. Unfortunately I lost mine somewhere somehow...don't even know how or where I did it.

I think I'll replace that loss pretty soon. I liked my Cyclone quite a bit.

The Cyclone is an excellent knife, and at twice the price, is still a great buy. I've owned 6 or 7 of both sizes over the years, but am down to just one of the large ones right now.

So whats the consensus about the Blur vs the Cyclone?

What's a good price on the Cyclone, Amazon sells em for $50
