Kershaw D2 blade?

Does any one have any experiance with this knife? I want it for a possible chopping hacking camp hiking type knife but have never used a D2 blade for any thing like that and did not know how strong the tang on this knife is. It seems like a good deal for the price. The blade looks like it would be hard to sharpen though because of the curve.

I hope Ken C. gets to see this question. He has one that he's put through some real work. It was very effective and held up beautifully. Just to make it better, he got a convex edge put on it. :D

That slight recurve shouldn't be a problem to sharpen. You might follow this advice: Sharpening the Ontario By Jerry Hossum.
