Hello all, this is my first post here so forgive me if it is in the wrong section. I am posting today to discuss the appearance of the damascus on kershaw's knives lately. I have a scallion with a Damascus blade and it is a good edc knife if you keep if from rusting. I have enjoyed it and it is supposedly made from Alabama Damascus. It has a genuine look and feel and it holds an edge better than the 420HC of the other scallions. A few days ago I handled a Kershaw link Damascus in a knife store and was disappointed by the look of it. It was shiny not dull finish and you could not see layers on the spine like my scallion. I also read a few troubling reviews about finishes flaking off. Can anyone shed any light on this? I knida like the link for a cheaper knife but now I am questioning the quality.
