Kershaw designer's

Well as far as custom knife makers designing models there is RJ Martin, Rick Hinderer, and Tim Galyean (who I believe now just works for Kershaw). Grant & Gavin Hawk have designed knives for them, as did Lee Williams.

There's also Tommy Lucas and Jim MacNair who are in-house designers. I'm sure there are more.

Ken Onion no longer works with Kershaw, by the way.

Thanks.
How would you find out who designed what, like the Blur,Echleon and Skyline.
I hope the parting of Ken Onion and Kershaw was a happy one,I liked his designs.

Ken Onion designed the Blur. I believe Tommy Lucas designed the Skyline, but I could be wrong though.

A lot of the knives say right on them if they were designed by a big name, like my OD-1, which was Lee Williams, and my RAM, which is the Hawks. If it doesn't say on them, I would assume it's designed in house.

I remember that the Echelon was designed by a new guy they picked up in 2011. Not sure of his name.

I was wondering about the Ken Onion thing myself. Hope it was an amicable departure as well.

sounded like it

there still making his knives, he want too move on as i understand it. and they have a lot of customer makers now. so that could been part of it?

The Echelon was an in-house design.

This is correct.

Aww, I liked Ken Onion's designs. I loved the recurves he did.
