Hey y’all. I’ve been looking at the Kershaw Emerson CQC 11k for. A bit, and I’m curious about its durability. I’ve had 2 kershaw knives that weren’t very durable. With that said, They were both fairly cheap and I was being dumb with them(Throwing/Prying). Using this knife hard but not abusing it, how do you think it would hold up?
I’d appreciate any info from people who have used any knife from this series.

I have the CQC-10K and -5K. The -10K and -11K were released at the same time and are similar in size and construction it seems. I tend to gravitate towards my more expensive knives, but I've used the -10K for some pretty abusive stuff and it's held up well. The lockup on it is at about 80% (maybe a little more) so if that's something that bothers you, just keep in mind that they're both thin knives and the lockup can easily travel that far over. The blade is ground really well, it's a nice hollow grind, and very thin behind the edge.

It looks like the -11K is available in D2 steel, definitely go for that if you're looking for a good user, on a knife like that imo it's worth the extra few bucks for the better steel. Also the -11K has a much wider and more robust tip, so it'll probably handle abuse better than the needle thin clip point on the -10K.
