Hello everyone,
Been a long time viewer and have much enjoyed the forum, yet for some reason have taken a while to join.
Having recently purchased a Kershaw Emmerson designed knife, I realized that my Thumb Disk spins; making thumb deployment difficult.
Is this normal or should I return the knife/glue the disk in place?
Very much look forward to replies!

No. Not normal.

Glue has no business on a knife unless you using epoxy to secure handle slabs on a fixed blade or similar task. Ther should be a screw fixing the thumb disc to the blade. Have you tried tightening it?

Definitely not normal. I'd do like PURPLEDC said and try tightening the screw. If that doesn't work, I'd return it

I agree with the others. Try tightening the screw on the thumbdisk. If it continues to loosen, use a drop of Blue Loctite.

Thanks everyone; tightened and now it works fine!
Given its my first such knife I was unsure of the disk function.
Thanks again!

Good to hear! If it starts to losen again do what was suggested above and add a small dab of blue loctite

It even happens on real Emerson from time to time. Like scubasteve said, a tiny bit of blue Loctite will keep the thumb disc in place.
