Because I get such great input every time that I ask what knife to buy.... I AM ASKING AGAIN!

I already have an ENER-G, the small version, and I love it! But, it's a combo edge and I prefer plain edges. It is just a personal preference. So, I have noticed that the satin blade, plain edge model is becoming available again. I am interested since this is, I think, a discontinued model.

PROS:

FLIPPER! WOOOO!

Tip up carry

Already know that I like the size, and feel of the knife.

Have experience with the steel, and like it.

G-10, need I say anything else?

CONS:

I have a bunch on Sandvik and Kershaw knives already.

A touch small for killing something. (What? I thought everybody hunted deer on their lunch hour with their EDC knife.)

The Centofante III

I really like the look of this knife. I have handled it, but I only remember one thing about it: I liked the Centofante III better than the Endura. I have wanted to try a knife in VG-10 anyway.

PROS:

VG-10 has a good rep.

Large enough to kill something, if needed. (If you haven't hunted coyote with a pocket knife, you should. It makes the heart work...)

Did I mention that it looks cool?

Tip up also.

CONS:

Handle not as grippy as the G-10 on the ENER-G. Not really worried about that though.

No flipper.

The blade is thin, but so is the blade on the ENER-G.

Thank you for reading. Looking forward to all the great replies!

Well, I can't tell you which is better as I don't have the Centofante III, but I do have the ENER-G and am still really wanting the Centofante III!
Hopefully someone will answer your question if I bump it back to the top!
Good luck!

They are both very good knives, and I find 14c28n to be comparable to VG-10.

I'd probably go with the Centofante because I find Spyder hole deployment to be more practical in real world EDC use.
