Its lock is great for a reliable, secure lock and great for repetively opening and closing for no real purpose. Its blade is a hollow-ground modified spear point that cuts very well. When sharpening, it's a good idea to hold the blade diagonal to the sharpening stones because the carabiner/thumbdisc thingy will otherwise get in the way. The pocketclip is interchangeable for righties and lefties and allows for discreet carry. The safety switch helps keep the knife from unintentionally opening, so that's very good, too.
The Kershaw ET is a very nice knife for both using and for being a cool knife. Just got one with Snap-On's logo on the blade and a red handle, well, just because.
