So, I didn't make it on Friday, so they were out of ZTs but I managed to score an old Breakout, two Emerson CQC4s a tomahawk, two of the military boot knives (non factory second, no sheath, but hey why not.) and one of the sushi knives.

So, what did you guys get?

They weren't just out of ZTs, they're no longer going to have ZTs at the warehouse sale. I spoke to their director of marketing while I was there, they don't want to dilute their premium brand by allowing blems to be sold, so in the future all blemished ZTs will be destroyed rather than sold.

My haul was pretty good, a few of the Elmax Knockouts and Leeks, the same Deba and Siege you got, a couple Cambers and a couple S30V Blurs. We also grabbed a half dozen of the Dimensions for christmas presents. My wife got a few of the Shuns. Seems like the selection this year wasn't as good as last year.

I missed those boot knives, I would have snagged a couple otherwise.

Has anyone used the Siege, by the way? Is it actually any good as a demo/entry/exit tool?

I had to ask about the boot knives. I was looking for the double edged ones, and they slapped a 7 dollar price tag on them and put them in my hand. (almost the same way that I got the knockout.)

I went Saturday and picked up one of those axes too. I think everybody there had one in their basket :) Also got a CQC-8K, a military boot knife, a 1308TANBW, a 4008 Tanto neck knife, and some kitchen knives for our Son's Scout Troop kitchen lockers. At the checkout I ended up donating to the toy drive and got the Duck Commander kitchen knives too! Had a good time but had to watch my buying as I was running on empty being up for 24hours at that point and was a little loopy. OT the night before and the knife show in Eugene made for a very long day! If anyone is local, the sale is going on Sunday too :)

The factory sale was the usual riotous good time on Friday.

Our dear Friend Kershaw Guy practically gave away the most excellent Kershaw zippered, padded, ballistic nylon carriers (should have bot 3 & not just 1) at Mini Meet in Eugene on Saturday. And he had every color of new Kershaw Switchblade where you could handle and work them plus an assortment of ZTs and other terrific knives at outstanding prices found no where else.

No big crowds in Eugene at OKCA's annual Mini-Meet so I had a chance to summit with sage wise collectors/vendors whose lives each deserve biographies (no kidding here at all). I even chewed fat with industry giant and local hero Dennis Ellingsen who proudly wears a custom knife/ belt buckle by famed Oregon maker Wayne Goddard. Pics in a bit.

The Dennis/Wayne Goddard buckle pics: apologies in advance, I was discussing the possibility of having William Schrade (the Great Grandson of George Schrade, inventor of the switchblade, among other things) visiting OKCA from Bridgeport, Connecticut in April and wasn't minding my camera business. The buckle was so unique I wanted to show it anyway. Wayne Goddard's work is a favorite of mine.

The Kershaw Factory had Facebook posted give-a-ways every once in a while. You had to find a certain employee and say something specific or sing and dance in order to be rewarded with a prize. Did anyone reading this participate/win/lose/draw in that social media fun and games? I have no smart phone so I was not on the ready line. Great idea Kershaw. Good fun.

Sunday, final day of Kershaw factory event, ending in 1/2 hour at 2:30:

View from back of line at around noon (line moved fast today and inside was not crowded), my haul from today, BDZ1 steel on the purple 1670 btw, locking display case with gray velvet interior, plexiglass window and composite wood shell, all axes gone, all display stands gone, only one auto left...
