Kershaw Federalist!

Over on YT Metal Complex just did a short video of the Launch, the Federalist and the Inception. The Fed and the Inception are actually pretty nice looking knives, I’m just not into slipjoints. I think it’s gonna be really popular though.

I want to like the Federalist but that shield/pivot thing ruins it for me. Seems so out of place to my eyes but I’m sure they’ll sell well.

Some of the supporting dealers already have them for pre-order with their street prices shown.

I dig the Federalist a lot. I think they were wise to go a different direction with materials and aesthetics than the VERY nice Italian modern slip joints. I'd like to handle it before buying, but I like the micarta handle, the blade length, weight, thin blade stock and choice of steel all combine to make it a very attractive choice for me. If I spot it somewhere for under a bill it will be hard not to impulse buy.

The federalist looks good & I like the name.
I have a question about the video. So the guy on the skateboard fell because he needed to trim the deck tape?

I like the looks of the federalist and it’s price is very reasonable too. I plan on getting me one.

Got a federalist inbound!
I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

Kershaw had announced a “sprint” run, LE series before abandoning it during Covid. I think the Federalist with a Damasteel blade or TI slabs would be a great place to pick up the campaign.

Of course this is probably me over-reaching on a knife that’s not been sold yet…

And I look forward to sharing!

For me, a big part of the selling point with the Federalist is the fact that they came up with a modern material, USA made traditional, for under non-inflated GEC pricing, and it is available to all. I doubt I'd be interested in a fancier more exclusive version. But like I just said above, to each their own!
