Good Day

I am new to this forum and imagine I will learn more from you than I can offer in return, thank you very much for the opportunity.

I am from South Africa, and while I can't yet claim to be a knife collector, I do love special blades. I have a few German Puma's, Oregon Kershaws and some local handmade knives (Gavin Dickerson, S. Mackrill, JD Robertson))

My current dilemma is about a Kershaw 1050. The seller states that the lockback spring is broken. Is there any hope of repairing or replacing the spring in a home workshop? I have not yet acquired the knife, but also have a 1055 in perfect condition. It seems the center pivot pin will have to be punched out as a start.

Any advice would be most welcome.

Kind Regards
Johan
