I've seen several threads about fixed blade knives but have seen very few if any recomend a kershaw?

Does Kershaw make a good fixed blade knife?

Are all kershaw's made in the USA?

The only Kershaw fixed blade I have (well also the only Kershaw I have) is the Outcast in D2. It is not made in the USA, it is made in China.

I chopped some wood with it, hacked some brush, batoned, etc. The thing keeps a great edge and the handle is awesomely confortable.

I have one from a a few years back--maybe more than a few(can't remember the series) and its a flimsy cheap POS------maybe the newer ones are better???

Kershaw actually has made some very good fixed blades -

The Deer Hunter – 1030 is a very fine knife - and has been in continuous production since at least the 1980's.

The cheaper Antelope Hunter II – 1028 and Bear Hunter – 1029 are also worth looking at.

There is also the Ken Onion designed Echo – 1070C

More on the tactical front the Military Knife – 4351 is made from a single piece of steel - so potentially it's very strong.
