Ya'll, I think I got lucky this weekend at the flea market. I found a fella selling some Kershaw knives, and I picked up a couple. I got what I learned later to be a Kershaw Packrat Serrated, and a Kershaw Scallion. The model numbers are 1665ST, and 1620RD, respectively. I got the Packrat Serrated for 15 dollars, and the Scallion for 10 dollars. They are both in MINT condition. They didn't come with any boxes. But, they look new, never used or sharpened, and they operate flawlessly. I think I scored!

I've not ever owned a Kershaw knife. I am mostly a traditional knife user, and carry various trappers, stockmen, canoe's, and a few others. But, I have never carried a modern knife like these. I'm curious to know ya'lls opinions of these two knives, and how good they really are. I looked them up on the Kershaw web site after I got home, and I like what I see with the lifetime warranty and lifetime sharpening. These two knives may convince me to get more Kershaw's. So, what do you guy's think? Are these two good edc knives?

Thanks for ya'lls opinions,

Marty

Well the price was definitely right.

The one thing I've learned about Kershaw, is you'll never be disappointed.

I also carry traditional knives, but I'm always impressed with Kershaw's quality. I just got a Kershaw Groove and an Amazon Speed Bump and both are flawless.

I know a few people who carry a leek, much like your scallion, and they always have them. And I've been known to swear by my blur. If you can get by on a single very handy blade (coming from traditionals), then I think you'll come to enjoy these too. Either way, the price was certainly right. Enjoy.

Nice score, I've only got one Kershaw, a standard Leek. I think it's fantastic, but sometimes I don't want an Assisted Opening knife and that's when I reach for a traditional knife or a Buck 110. Hope you enjoy trying them out and seeing if they fit your lifestyle

Thanks guy's. For the price I couldn't pass them up. He had a few more that I should have picked up too. I may have to make another run over there to see if he still has any available. They all looked great. I like the Packrat a little better than the Scallion so far. I like the G10 handles, and the larger size.

That's always fun. I occasionally come across a real deal at the local thrift store.

I just recently discovered Kershaws and find them to be some of the best bargains out there.

Enjoy.

Nice find. I've only managed to find one kershaw so far going to flea markets, a well used red blur for $2.
