Kershaw G-10?

How does Kershaw choose what G-10 to put in what knives? I noticed while handling some of my knives that the ZT 0551 and 0200 seem to have the same G-10, which is pretty good. But my cheap Skyline has a much finer G-10 weave, which almost seems higher quality. I haven't seen any that use that really coarse, plasticky weave that you see on cheap Chinese knives, though. So what's the rhyme and reason to the kind of G-10 Kershaw uses for their various knives?

This is just a guess but I think the different g10 styles may have something to do with the design of different knives.

Example: The 0550 is very solid and heavy as it is, so a lighter less strong g10 makes sense here.

But the skyline has much thinner liners and they may use denser g10 as to not create a plasticky feeling or hollow sounding knife. An attempt to create a solid feeling cheap knife may have been the goal here.
