Any of the resident experts have any info on the Grant County # 3100? I just snagged one for $ 10.50...

I don't have any idea of its history or value, I just thought it looked purdy! :p:D

Dunno the actual condition. It was described as "Near Mint", and if you look at the top pic, there appears to be a scratch on the blade where it opens into the handle. I guess I'll wait until it gets here to make the call to Oregon...I'd like to know if they could refresh it a bit if need be.

I'm not really worried either way tho. I'll probably end up carrying it every now and then. Might make a nice suit piece to go along with the 2605. Still I'd like to know when they were made, blade steel (440x or AUS I'm guessing), that sort of stuff.

I think the raccoon came out in me...it looks shiny! :D

Wow, great looking knife. Gonna have to snag me one!

Aus-6A, Handle Material: Zinc die-cast alloy with cross-grooved ABS inlay, MEASUREMENTS:
• Overall Length: 4.50 in
• Blade Length: 1 7/8 in. (4.9 cm)
• Closed Length: 2 5/8 in. (6.8 cm)
• Weight: 1.2 oz.
Japan (which I don't mind)

Everything you could want in a good lockback. I know I'm old fashioned, but I still prefer a good old lockback at times.

Gauge, thanks for the info, but I think this one is an older model. It was listed at 4.5" closed, with a 2.675" blade. The handle may be zinc, but it has a copper/brass look to the bolsters and blade that the current ones doesn't have...hhmmmm....
