Kershaw Groove, Junkyard Dog

I can't wait for the Kershaw junkyard dog manual framelock flipper...yippee

We are hopeful both models will be shipped in limited quantities this month, and full production starting up in Nov.

The smaller JYD is the same size as a leek! It looks bigger, but is probably just more stout! I will have to hold the JYD and JYD 2 before I make a decision. I like the gray G-10, but I prefer Frame-Lock.

I know, why not get BOTH! :D

So let's see, I have to buy the Needs Work, both JYDs, the G-10 Offset, and the TiZDP Cyclone. I better go sell some cranes!

I see my birthday gift coming in. Better bookmark this thread for my girlfriend as a hint.

Thomas W,

Any plans for a slightly larger Junkyard Dog framelock?

The groove looks like the K.O. Whisper. Is that uh, intentional?

Huh? Maybe I'm missing something, but the Groove does NOT in any way look like any Ken Onion I'm familiar with. If you look at it beside the Devestator by RJ Martin (who is the designer of the Groove), and you'll see where the design comes from. In a word, the answer to your question is: no.

Just so you all know, the first 500 pieces of the JYD's and Groove will be in 440A. We are waiting on the 13C26 to be delivered at the factory, but decided to get in a short run of the patterns out in Sept. prior to it (13C26) coming in.

For you guys that don't care for liner locks, give the Large JYD 1725 a look, it has .070" thick liners. Very stout, almost framelock like.
