Kershaw guys are very generous. I think they might give away more knives than any other subforum here. I myself have even been the recipient of the Grey Groove from OregonEdge.

I have noticed, though, that most of the give aways require a minimum amount of posts in the Kershaw Subforums. So, in the effort to reach 50 posts here.... Here's one more

I try to keep an eye out on most of the other sub-forums just to see whats new or on the horizon from other companies (there are other companies? :D), but I've never seen as many give-aways as the Kershaw forum.

I also have to admit that I have counted my number of post in the Kershaw forum to see if I qualify. :)

I'm pretty sure that I've had more than enough of the required amount of posts, but here's another one, just in-case...:D.:D.

Just to give myself another post and so that this thread isn't completely useless...

What's the worst thing you can say to a guy who says his wife's frigid?

... No she's not

Now I have 12 :)

Fellas, we have taken to doing the minimum posts to encourage more folks to come out and interact.... we typically don't bite, so, please, ask questions, give answers or opinions if you have 'em, and feel free to goof off with us at any time. I look forward to seeing more of you guys around:)

Well, in the midst of all this fun, I would like to post.... About how great Kershaw products perform. My little Chive has been my companion since I joined the Bladeforums. My Shun cuts great in the Kitchen, my Nakamura looks good for a night on the town.

Cheers to Kershaw and the free post

Well, believe I will start my post count right now. Been looking for a new knife and seems that I've taken a fancy to several Kershaw models and feel that one will be in my front right pocket very soon.

I haven't bothered to count but I check this subforum everytime I get on BFC and really enjoy reading as much as I can and get excited about upcoming knives.

What's the best and worst thing your wife can say to you??

Your brother's penis is smaller than yours.

Well. just in case someone puts up a contest requiring 2000 posts here, I think this'll do it!

Yes, please do. The give aways are just a small bonus compared to
the friends you can make here....and we have lots of fun while we're
at it.

Well, there goes the neighborhood.

:D I keed! I keed! :D

It's good to see new people emerging from lurk mode. As a relatively new forum on BF (just over a year old IIRC), I'm still amazed at how fast it took off and how busy it is. I think that reflects on Kershaw's (and KAI's in general) quality and attention to detail. Not to mention holding a price point where that quality is actually affordable to us average folk. A cheap product would not command this sort of loyalty; a quality, inexpensive product can get people's attention. You expect people to gush over their $500 Busse's (or insert any other high-end product), as well they should. But personally, if I had $500 just sitting around, not ear-marked for anything, just waiting to help "stimulate the economy," I'd probably be looking at other things (a decent UPS comes to mind, and or maybe an HDTV ;) ). Kershaw allows me to participate in some small way in the knife hobby, and buy American made, to boot (btw, I own knives from many countries; my point is that Kershaw gives me a choice).

We are friends here on the Kershaw subforum and have lot's of giveaways , because that is what Kershaw as a company models. Friendly and Generious !!!

I ought to post here more often. After getting my composite leek Kershaw has become my favorite knife company.

I might as well verify whether I pronounce the name correctly or not. The e in Kershaw is pronounced like the e in "bed" and the a is like a in "auto", right?

The a is pronounced like auto.

Linguistically, the e is in combination with r and pronounced as "ur". The e in "bed" is the "eh" sound.

So it is like the e in German.

So it is properly pronounced Kur-Shaw, not Kehr-shaw nor Keer-shaw.

(and yes, I did a stint in a linguistics research lab, it was horrible)

I'll add a post to this thread. You can never have too many posts in the Kershaw forum! It's just I don't always have something worthwhile to say!
