Im looking to buy a Kershaw composite blade knife and am stuck between the junkyard dog and rake. Looking for feedback on which would be the better self defense knife and or better knife to get?

Glock...every time. I bought three JYD's and love 'em, but I don't consider them as defensive weapons. Opinions vary, I know.

JYD 2 gets my vote.
but for SD I would skip both of those and get a ZT 0150, cant beat a double edged dagger.

For defense a knife is way better I mean its Just joking lol I would hope that this is just meant as a last ditch
Option.

Both are great knives, you just have to choose between assisted and manual. The CPM-D2 edge holds up very well and gets scary sharp. There's that funky clip on the JYD2 though.

I have both. I like the JDY better for a couple reasons.....I have big hands, the JDY gives me about .75" at the end of the handle. There's not a lot of difference in the

opening speed of the JYD and the Rake IMO.

If you do get a JYD do yourself a Big favor and mod the Big Ugly clip that comes on it. I have modded the clips on 2 JYD's to about 1/2 the size of the BU clip. I also heat

treated 1 of the clips.

thanks for feedback.....think im going with JYD2. Also would anyone know where i can find kershaw packrat new non serrated??? Dealers i know dont have any and ebay only has serrated ones
