This morning's mail brought me a Kershaw Junkyard Dog II that I had purchased a few days ago. Having read many glowing reports on this forum I was really looking forward to this one.
Right out of the package I can say this is one of the sharpest factory knives I have ever owned. I performed the usual hair-on-the arm test, the cardboard test, and even cut a hanging 3/4" rope, all with ease. - I knew these knives would cut but what really impressed me was the quality of manufacture. Fit & finish is near perfect, the grind is flawless, and the thing just exudes an aura of overall quality and attention to detail, all for the ridiculously low price of $45!
I have owned a few Kershaws in the past ( chives, leaks) but this JYD II has really opened my eyes to their commitment to quality. I am now a Kershaw fan for life!
