Kershaw Junkyard Dog to carry

I found the KS1720 for $24.95 and wonder if that would be a good supplement to my Endura 4. Can some of you give suggestions? I just wonder about the weight.

I recently picked up a 1720 myself. I loved it so much (except that terrible clip...), I bought a Galyean Pro series version as well.

It is on the heavier side for its size, but it carries well since it's quite slim. The action is nice and smooth which makes the flipper a pleasure to use.

keep it oiled or use a tuff cloth, I cut into some chicken the other night and only lightly wiped the blade off on my pants, I found some light rust forming the next day, I used a dab of mothers polish on a rag to get it off.

Love the knife, not the finish

A couple of guys at the boatyard have the Junkyard Dog.
The clips have bent out of shape and appear to have weakened to the point that reshaping is a waste of time.
Both of their knives have loosened dramatically and are quite 'rickety'.
Guess they can't find the time to tighten everything up.
I'm actually a bit surprised at this. My Kershaws have held up really well over the years.

It's called neglect.

I have a JYD II CB and like others my only complaint is the clip, though functional it is fugly and big. For not all that much more you check out the CB model.

Great knife, great designer, well built and another Kershaw innovative product that's priced right. Pocket clip is a deal killer on this one. It's too big to go without a clip and too Flash Gordon to be hanging out of an adult’s pocket.

Shame, that many Kershaw’s have this flaw but not to the extent of the JYD. To be fair to Kershaw. This was the designer’s vision and Kershaw saw it fit to honor that. In 2010 I have noticed a dramatic improvement in Kershaw’s clip design. They hear their regular customers.
