i was wondering if you had a jydII?? i want a new clip but i dont want to send it back to you. thanks alot.

I had one but mailed it out to a friend in Australia. Won't be gettin' that one back. :D He liked it a lot. All I have now is a JunkYardDog in the smaller frame lock.

I've made clips for the one I had only. Haven't had call for that one again. I've had a few ask but none have mailed me the knife.

well i know i want a diff clip but dont feel like going to the post office during the holidays. i'll see tho :)

If you want a standard style clip I can probably make a good replacement using just the clip. Its just for low riders that I need the knives most times.

ok well how much? thats what i want i love the knife just diss like the HUGE clip.

A lot of folks have told me that but they find a way to live with it after owning it. I didn't like it personally on it or the JYD and there are some others in Kershaws line up I don't care for.

I like the clips like the little guy on the Chive best of all and feel it would work across the board on just about all their smaller knives up to the Leek and also on several of the bigger ones. It doesn't stand out so and its very 'sheeple friendly' thanks to that rather than long and wide with all kinds of decor where it attracts attention.

I think a clip should look good but the real idea I think is to put function ahead of anything else and then make the clip blend where it both looks like it belongs there on the knife its on as best you can make it while at the same time not make it so big and overwhelming that it distracts or takes away from the folder its on. The JYD clips overwhelm the knives I think but they blend for such a big clip but its the size that makes them stand outs as if the size of the JYDII is not enough by itself. I saw one somewhere, maybe on the Kershaw forum. It was the factory JYDII clip that someone took down and thinned out and in the end it looked far better to me than the one on it when you buy it.

I despise the JYD clip. It was one of the main reasons I got rid of mine. The semi sharp point they come to can be absolutely vicious on your hand if it rubs into it hard sliding across your pocket area for whatever reason. I don't remember how it happened, only that it hurt significantly. May look nice on a display piece custom, but it's a poor choice on a factory blade for many reasons. I'd imagine that sharp point would really bore into wood or paint like no other if you were to lean into something wearing it too.

I used the clip from a Chive on my JYDII...mounted it it right hand, tip up, and it works great.
