Got Kershaw JYD SG2 today. Was amazed how thin it is ground. I have read about it before, but now I see for myself. Great slicer, but no way would I abuse it.

Here is JYD on the left, next to Strider PT on the right.

Here is Buck Vantage PRO (left), Kershaw JYD SG2 (middle), and Small Sebenza (right)

Are all JYDs have such a thin grind? Just SG2? How is it on Galyean Pro?

Haha I just asked the same thing in the vantage pro/junkyard dog thread. Is the blade grind the same on the regular and composite models as it is on the SG2 model?

I think you will find that the SG2 has a much thinner blade at the edge than a regular JYD II.

Awesome thanks for answering my question. I only have the SG2 version and I always wondered why people praise the JYD as a hard use folder. haha
