Kershaw knife blade thicknesses

I've been searching around the net for a few blade thicknesses. Perhaps one of you fine gents can help me out. :)
I have an idea of a knife to buy for a friend's birthday. I've narrowed the search down to two knives, and it sparked some curiosity in me; I wanted to know how thick the blades were on the knives I'd be offering him. Now don't get me wrong, he won't be abusing it because he loves knives as much as I do. I do, however, want to offer the extra security that a thicker blade generally provides.

Without further ado, I am seeking info on these two knives' blade thickness:
-Kershaw Skyline.
-Kershaw OD1
-Kershaw Zing

Clearly, you can see I have a company preference when I buy knives. Nothing but good has come from Kershaw. :D

The only one of these that I have is the Skyline, and I will say that it is relatively thin. This combined with the hollow grind makes it an amazing slicer, but I understand your reluctance to get a blade like that for a non-knife nut.

I think the order you have them in goes along with their thickness, thin to thick. Though the zing has a thick spine it has a nice thin main grind, OD-1 is probably the most robust one of the bunch.

I have the OD-1 and never measured the blade thickness, but it is much thicker than the Skyline.

The OD-1 is one of my favorite knives. Very nicely made, good framelock and sort of a mix between a gentleman's folder a small "tactical" knife.

I've found the Od-1 to be robust, I don't abuse mine but it sees it's fair share of use and it's holding up just fine. I'm sure anybody would be pleased with an Od-1, for awhile it was my favorite EDC and favorite knife FWIW.

My Skyline's tip is a bit thin and it's overall makeup qualifies it as a light/medium user in my book.
I do not have a Zing , yet... :D

My OD-1 I cannot say a single bad thing about it , from top to bottom is one of the coolest knives I own and a real winner for the low price - compared to other brands that do not offer near as many features for the same dollar , Kershaw puts out some fantastic knives.

What about a Groove ? They are very fair priced and one hell of a user that wont let you down.
My Groove is in my pocket as I type.

The Zing and OD-1 have about the same spine thickness, however the OD-1 has an extremely pointy tip. The Zing has a little bit thicker tip. I EDC both and and love'em both.

Leek- .108
OD-1- .119

The zing is b/w the leek and OD-1
The skyline is the same thickness as the OD-1 I have in front of me.

However the OD-1 has the thinest tip of all the knives mentioned @ .021

Really ? I havent looked at my Skyline for a while but I thought the OD-1 had a thicker blade. hmmmmm :)

Regardless , both are great knives ! :D

I think I'm going to go with a Skyline; it seems to have the best mixed qualities of a reasonably thick spine, a large-bellied hollow grind, and weight-to-blade ratio. If the Skyline's spine is about the same as an OD1, I think that settles the decision.
Plus it has a choil, and I know he likes choils.

Thanks you guys. Very quick responses.

The Kershaw Groove ..has a really nice beefy bladey...very strong....plus its a flipper and frame lock..no mechanism to fail
