Kershaw Knockout. How did this one fly under my radar for so long?

Postman just dropped mine off and man am I impressed. It's like a little big knife, or a big little knife, or a.... I don't know but it's way cool.

Very similar in size to a 0350 except super-thin and light while still feeling quite solid. I love the finish, I assumed it was anodized, but feels and looks more like a powder coat that offers a perfect balance between smooth and grip (for me). Deep carry clip, great blade shape- man I would love to see some variations on this one.

Blade centering is dead perfect as is pivot tension, and did I mention how thin it is? ;) it fits in my pocket like me tiny Spydie Cat with a whole lot more knife to offer.

I may get another and de-assist it for kicks (assuming I have any money left after raiding Dave's Damascus stash), anyone know if it has a detent hole?

The judicious application of skateboard tape to the Knockout really helps it, IMO. Especially at the tail, where you grab it to extract it from the pocket. I have the whole side of mine covered with the tape, but thats too much and I need to remove some of it.

I ordered one from the warehouse sale on a whim, very glad I did. I especially like the big belly on the blade, makes for nice slicing. I'd eventually like to mod it into a two tone.

I could be wrong but I do not believe it has a detent hole.

You're right. I just checked. It will stay as is for the time being. The assist is actually very nice on this, but I'll bet it would be a fun manual flipper too.

Yeah, I'm actually a very light user. Lots of cable ties, boxes etc. Most of My G-10 knives get polished a bit to make easier on the pocket and the bead-blasted stainless make me all butter fingers. This one is just right for me as is. Probably wouldn't be my 1st choice for taking down a caribou, but that seldom comes up in the office ;)

Yeah, I really like the Knockout. Thinking about getting one. I might drive down to that Kershaw store in Fredericksburg and check them out in person. (It's just some store that sells Kershaws and ZTs. I don't recall the name.)

I removed the torsion bar from mine and promptly put it back.
It did not like being de-assisted at all.
Very good knife, definitely one of my favs.

I just got mine also, yes it is a great knife. Blade is centered, sharp, clean lines, smooth. I like it all. Noticed it shares a clip with the cryo.

You are making it tough, I am trying to hold off for Dave's new inventory, but have been thinking about a Knockout but have pushed it aside but now....

Does this help?

The Blur would be cool "Knocked out"

Peer pressure is awesome! Buy the Knockout! THEN, raid Dave's new Damascus collection (when it comes in). Who says you can't have your cake and eat it to? You won't regret it. DO IT!

i know, now i can only afford cryo and zt350, buying too much kershaws this month

I like the Knockout, but I wish it had more traction. So, some stair tread tape, a steady hand, and 45 minutes later...

The tread tape sits in the depressions in the handle, making it flush now. However, I'm not satisfied at all with the result, so I'm trying it again.

The tread tape towards the butt isn't done in the handle's pattern, but it helps remove the knife from my pocket.

Wow, I like that idea with the tape. It looks good, too.
I've been thinking about getting one too, but I don't like the assist. If there isn't a detent hole, I'm gonna pass.
Still looks nice though.

Good looking knife, but I'll wait for a better traction. There are too many squared away value knives available to buy one that is incomplete.

I should also mention...

I hate the deep-carry clip on the Knockout - it's not tight enough - so the clip from my Kershaw Tremor fits just right. You'll only end up using the two end screw holes, of course. The clip change isn't interchangeable though; the Knockout's clip has screw holes that are too small for the Tremor's handle holes.
