I was surfing the web and I came across a Leek 1660CGT and I have to this point been unable to find any further information on it. I know the 1660PGT is the version with the polished G-10 handles and the satin finished s30v blade. The production version has a stonewashed s30v blade and textured G-10 handles. Could this new version be a combination of both, a polished s30v blade with textured G-10 handles, if so then that would be the best of both worlds. If anyone has some info on this please let me know. Thanks

boobar, we did do a very short run (250 pieces) of a textured G-10, satin finished S30V Leek (plain edge). Actually, there was a even shorter run of 125pieces of the same knife in a combo edge as well.
They flew well under the radar, but the run was delivered late in 2005. It was made exclusively for one of our East Coast customers.

Hey wait, boobar, I thought AO wasn't your thing?

Thanks for the info Thomas. I know that I said that I thought AO wasn't my thing but I think that I didn't give it enough of a chance. I really like the design of the Leek and when you put s30v and G-10 into the mix it made it even better. I also think that the polished G-10 of the version that I had was not to my liking. I like the textured G-10 of the production version but I am not a fan of the stonewashed blade. I am strongly considering giving the Leek another chance and going with the 1660CGT.

My first post. :o
I just picked one of these up from a dealer on eBay. The blade has "Nov 05" right by the handle. I didn't even realize the blade was polished until i opened it up today! Now I am afraid to use it if it's 1 of 250!!! :D

Hmmm. Are you Clean19 on Glocktalk? I just got this knife from Ebay as well. Also marked "Nov 05" in the same place. But it doesn't say "s30v" on it like other ones I've seen. Does this mean that it isn't "s30v"? Could someone knowledgeable about about Kershaw knives answer this? I need to know if I got robbed!

I'll root for stonewash finishes..... blades look new after lots of use unlike polished ones.

No, that's not me. It looks like the new ones say s30v....but that makes sense since these were a limited production in 05'. This is quite a work of art......I drool over it everyday. Thanks nygiant for the info!

I just got one, too. Is this what you guys have?

Thanks Dominic74

Just receive my leek, manufacture date NOV 05, my knife have an un-even edge, ~18 on the left and 22 on the right, dull like a spoon, liner lock have 100% contact, after a couple hours on the sharpmaker, it is all fine now.

Edit : should read ~22 on the left and 18 on the right.
