How do you like the action with the flipper? I almost got my wife one but she didn't want a flipper for some reason...

The assisted opening flings it open with the flipper super easy.

Traded a couple others in at the jewellery store to get it; it was an order of magnitude cooler than they were. :)

My wife loves the Leek. She has 4 of them. Once she learned how to use it safely, she was hooked on them.

All depends on the person...my wife has a Chive, and the solidity of the blade firing out kind of freaks her out.
So she carries a Delica or the Lava instead.
 
Her coworkers might be freaked by the assisted opening too...
One of them asked "Why would you carry a knife?" when she was opening boxes with the Lava.
She gave the only response that deserves; "Opening boxes." :D

Sorta like when people see you using your knife to cut a steak and ask you what you're using your knife for. As you are using it to cut your steak right in front of them.

Exactly!

But I actually like those moments, because it makes it so very easy to explain.
No need to come up with hypothetical reasons when you're actually using it. :D
 
Yeah the leek has found its way into our home a few times I have one in the glove box of the truck and the tackle bag and I know there is one in the junk drawer one of my favorites from kershaw
