Kershaw Leek Carry?

I just purchased a composite Leek from Kershawguy. I love the knife. I prefer to carry tip up as I like to be able to deploy quickly, and I like the security of the blade resting against the seam in my pocket. So I took the clip off my Leek and switched ends for tip up.

Unfortunately I didn't like a few things with the clip on this end. The knife sticks to far out of my pocket and the clip seems like it interferes with the frame lock.

So I'm wondering if anyone carry's their Leek tip up?

Yup. When I carry my Leek, it is tip up. I like the clip being where it is. It stops the lock bar from going too far. Like a poor man's Hinderer Lockbar Stabilizer. ;)

All mine are tip up, and I haven't noticed any problems. The knife doesn't ride as deep when tip up, but again, that doesn't bother me. If you're looking for a clip that will sink it in your pocket, contact STR and get him to fit it with a low rider clip.

I have a deep pocket carry clip from STR, and it worked great until I found a better use for it. It also fits my new ZDP blur! Since the leek is smaller I went back to the factory clip. The titanium color and glass bead finish blends better with the blur. The only issue is the trac tec inserts do not slip out of the pocket very easily.

About the trac tec inserts; they'll wear some with use, or you can open the clip up a little. I put small (1 1/2" or so) lanyards on all my folders, so I just grab the cord and pull. No problems!

And them ZDP Blurs are sweet!
