i just got a kershaw leek, and right out of the package it was slow, it wouldnt even lock into place after i pushed on the flipper, enabling the assisted open. after a couple times of opening and closing it losend a little, now it just gets locked up. this is no where near as fast i as iexpected it to be. do i need to oil it, or adjust the middle pivot?

You could also just have a bum spring. I own several leeks and I have gotten 1 with a bad spring.

When I first got my Leek, I couldn't get it to flip open all the way at first and had to figure out the right technique. I think I was pressing the flipper straight into the handle, while it really wants more of a "Come here" motion with your finger, if that makes sense.

Not only the pivot, but the handle screws, if to tight can cause it to bind, a little tweaking and you will like it.

I recently purchased a cb leek and i did have to adjust all the handle screws and pivot. It now fires like lightning and locks up very solid. it takes a bit of tweakin to get just right so have patience.

okay. my kershaw leek is a lot faster then when i first got it. it is almost as fast as some of the others i have seen. i will try to loosen the screws little by little, and maybe ad some dry lubricant to it.

You might want to Loc-tite (the blue flavor) those screws in place, especially the pivot, so it stays put.
