well, that's not 100% accurate. i have two Leeks, combo-edge, and plain-edge. my plain edge is still perfect, and has not seen as much use. my combo-edge however (which i've only had for about 4 months), has begun to close, with a bias toward one side of the blade.

to any other owners, grab your Leek. close it, with the blade facing you. when secured in the frame, the blade should be sitting with even space on either side, the tip pointing downward. mine is rubbing on the right-hand side of the frame, or "scale". i have examined the blade from all angles, but cannot see how it might be bent. it's not. while my Leek is my EDC, i never use it for anything beyond small cutting tasks, so there isn't an opportunity for the blade to be flexed one way or the other.

i've tried tightening the pivot screw, and loosening it. nothing. anyone else had this problem yet, or know of a solution?

My PE Leek looks the same way. I think it is the pressure of the framelock, pushing against the left side of the blade. Anyone else got any ideas?

I just checked my mini task and it is towards the right side but my random task and black out are centered. I would suspect it is a combination of the wearing surfaces seating in to one another and the pressure applied by the liner lock. This observation comes from the amount of use the 3 mentioned have received. The mini is my EDC and is constantly being opened and closed and not just for use but just playing. LOL. It just barely brushes the right liner.and it doesnt seem to hinder the opening or closing with any friction problems.Considering the airplay given to Ti liners and galling if it were in full contact I would expect to notice an effect on the opening speed if there was any galling taking place. :D :D

The designer of the Leek, Ken Onion, is currently participating in a thread in this same forum, called Kershaw 'onion'. You might post a note in that thread asking him to read this thread, if he doesn't see it on his own.
