well, that's not 100% accurate. i have two Leeks, combo-edge, and plain-edge. my plain edge is still perfect, and has not seen as much use. my combo-edge however (which i've only had for about 4 months), has begun to close, with a bias toward one side of the blade.
to any other owners, grab your Leek. close it, with the blade facing you. when secured in the frame, the blade should be sitting with even space on either side, the tip pointing downward. mine is rubbing on the right-hand side of the frame, or "scale". i have examined the blade from all angles, but cannot see how it might be bent. it's not. while my Leek is my EDC, i never use it for anything beyond small cutting tasks, so there isn't an opportunity for the blade to be flexed one way or the other.
i've tried tightening the pivot screw, and loosening it. nothing. anyone else had this problem yet, or know of a solution?
abe m.
