I have a stainless steel handled leek that has been a very good EDC for the past two years. I am considering another leek in the red and black smoked annodized finish. I noticed that the handlle material is listed as aluminum and I'm a little concerned. How well do the aluminum handles hold up considering the thumb studs are also the blade stops and part of the handle scale also serves as the "liner" lock? Anybody been carrying one for a while that can offer some insights? Thanks

The aluminum parts are placed over a steel handle so the liner lock is steel. I have this same knife that you are talikng about. The thumb stud will also tounch the steel liner
