Kershaw Leek Question

I recently bought a Leek that on examination showed when I close the blade at about 100 degrees to the handle it feels a little gritty till about 90 degrees..

Going beyond that and then re-opening it I don't notice that gritty feel.

I applied some graphite and worked the blade back and forth several dozen times.. Still there.. Any suggestions as to a cure ? Or just plain not worry about it.

I have another Leek that is as smooth as silk..

try some lube on the ball detent to see if it helps

Any lube in particular ?? I tried a liberal dose of graphite.. Didn't seem to make much difference.
