Ok so i wanted to buy a kershaw leek so i look at some reviews.
Then i look at some sites and some of them say its 440A!
Is this true?? I have had bad experience with 440A B or C.
So Please tell me. WHAT STEEL ARE THEY?!?!?
440 A-C get bad raps from bad HT, Kershaw used to have 440A as their defacto stainless, it held up decently well but they have upgraded since then (some 5-7yrs ago IIRC) to 13c26n Sandvik and now 14c28n Sandvik.
As a side note, it might be good to check with the manufacturer's website about such details.
As brets-ftw said, 440A hasn't been used on Leeks in quite some years. If the inventory is even remotely up to date, you're good with the 14C28N steel they've used for a while.
