With a lot of posts about this fine little cutter, I was wondering how many various runs have been made and what steels were used? Pics always welcome of course.

Sandvik
D2 Composite
S30V

What else?

I got this Kershaw Random Leek 1660TGRYST - S30V blade, anodized aluminum handle framelock from Kershawguy a real mini-light saber!

There are also a lot of aftermarket handle embellishments for Leeks. Santa Fe Stoneworks modifies a lot of 'em by adding exotic stone/turqoise/pearl/etc. scales to the existing handle (front side only).

You can generally see a lot of these knives on the 'bay too. Some dealers also carry the modded knives from Santa Fe Stoneworks. By the way, they also do other brands, such as Buck and Spyderco.

cheers! definately will look into that...some nice work listed on there and I think I almost bought a buck 110 from them this past xmas with turquoise and rosewood handle! the owner didnt know who done the work but backed out. :D:thumbup:

Here are my Leeks. I enjoy collecting the "higher end" versions of the Leek so i sold off about 4 others that had the basic steel.

My favorite is the middle one (1660TCKT S30V) because of how rare it is. It was a small run for a dealer and is the only random leek in S30V that was produced in plain edge.

I have a few more in my sights as well. Idealy i would move one of the Damascus leeks out and add a 1660PGT, 1660G10 and a 1660TiZDP

Hope you enjoy the pic.

i wasnt too impressed with the g10 s30v leek. i didnt like the g10 on and and i didnt like the fact it was a liner lock not a frame lock

I felt the exact same way after I got my S30V Leek. I got the one with the smooth G10 and polished blade. So I bought another Leek, the one with the black coated steel handles and frame lock (1660CKT) and did the Frankenleek thing and swapped blades. Now I have a nice liner lock Leek with an S30V blade, and the other resulting leek, G10 scales with the black coated 440A blade is a nice carry as well.

veubent, that is a nice pack of Leeks. That S30V model is one I have definitely not seen before. Nice picture too.

I tried hard to get that one but not to be found anywhere darnnit. One thing though, my Random Leek 1660TGRYST in S30V has unreal serrations that'll slice copy paper like a plain edge.

I'm really envious of your 1660TCKT S30V but not complaining with mine. :)
