Hello I just have a rattle on my kershaw speedsafe knife, is it a normal thing ? And what should I do ?

It is normal per say... You need to add some grease to the speedsafe torsion bar. When the grease inside dries up or whatever they start to rattle. You can probably send it to Kershaw to have them do it if you cannot.

I think I can,but is it ok if I use vaseline or I need to buy grease ?

I wouldn’t use petroleum jelly as a melting point is just above normal body temperature.

You might have white lithium grease around the house you could use that.

Do as the above. But really it is fairly common on Kershaws. Its not a problem if that is what you are worried about. If i remember correctly, my ZT 0566 has a rattle

Ok, so I need to use grease.
I've never really thought of what you could use other than grease but as mentioned above some things will work better than others. Grease is idea and normally what is used. Check your garage or a friend's house to see if they have any type of grease. Automotive or not should work. Pretty inexpensive at the auto parts or hardware store.

I use finish line grease because that's what I use for some of my pivots and have it laying around. It's rather expensive for the task but It works for me. Lithium grease as mentioned above would be good and cost effective.

Note that nick Shabazz over lubes but he's an amazing resource to show how to take apart and put back together many of knife models. Great reviews too. Check out more of his disassembly vids out for various knives. Here are some that you will find helpful...

Also nano oil is expensive snake oil in the knife world. It works but so does a billion other lower cost options.
