I guess this is directed to Thomas or a long time Kershaw Collector. I have lots of Kershaws all of which I love. Thanks for making such awesome knives. My Whirlwind and Blackout do not have a month and year stamp on the blade but, my Blur Tactical, Spec Bump S30V, and Chive, Leek, and Scallion all have dates on the blades.

Are the Blackout, and whirlwind knives made in a different factory? I understand they are made in the USA but, maybe not in the same factory as the other knives?

Thanks again. I plan on being a longtime Kershaw collector.

It was made in the Kershaw factory here in Oregon. I will find out when we started doing the born on dating.

This is kick butt. I'm seeing all of these Kershaw employees coming out of the woodwork.

:D

Thanks for showing up guys!

Hi Tim,
I just saw your "Junkyard Dog" in one of last years BLADE magazines. WOW! One hot knife!

Why, thank you Daniel!

Kershaw started marking the dates sometime in 2000, but it was not on every model. We now have a "born on date" on every model made in the Oregon factory.

Actually it is nice to see people stoked about thier company enough to start to come on the board. Maybe Ill have to add some more kershaws to the collection so I can post questions. It is allways nice to get responces from the people who know them better!

Thanks for the info. I sure wish there was a seperate Kershaw forum either on the corporate Kershaw website or here at bladeforums. I am hooked on collecting Kershaw knives. I wish Mr. Onion would design a speed safe tooth brush:p. I guess I am at the early knife collectors giddy new hobby stage. I am moving from pistols to Knives makes the wife alot happier.
