i recently acquired a kershaw mini cyclone. typically i'm not a kershaw man, i cant say why i haven't given them a chance i just haven't, but i can say, i wish i would have much sooner! the one i have is made of 13c26 sandvik (i believe) and although i haven't had the chance to put a real whoopin on it i've done a decent ammount of cutting in about four days. the blade is still wickedly sharp. i'm rough on a knife.. so far this one has stood well. the aluminum handle fits very nicely in my hand, ( i have rather large hands) as a utility blade.. and the assist on/off switch is really cool. i give this knife a good 8.5 out of 10. anyone else have one of these and have a word to put in? i would like to hear good or bad.

I have the ZDP-189 & titanium handled Mini Cyclone, and am very impressed with it.

I just picked up a Mini Cyclone yesterday. Obviously, I haven't used it yet, but I suspect that flat ground blade will be a great cutter. I also love the size of the handle. Large handle for blades under 3" is something that Sal Glesser at Spyderco was the first to emphasize. Given increasing blade restrictions, that is a very sensible design idea. I also like that the assisted opening can be defeated, I know I don't always want a knife blade to pop out like a horny teenager. The only thing I don't like are the aluminum scales, they do scratch easily. That is why zytel, G-10, and carbon fiber are my favorites.
