Kershaw mini Mojo rust??

Man, my Kershaw mini Mojo had been sitting on my desk for a long time. Today, I open it up. I see small yellow dots on the blade tank. Is that a rust??

This knife have not been use, never been through water. How can that be possible??

Does 154 MC have easy rust nature?

I believe the Mini Mojo is 440A. A bit of oil should clear that up.

I have a mini mojo, no rust problems...as I understand it, 440A has very good corrosion resistance, but then, I'm also stupid.

The small little rust spots shouldn't be hard to buff out

The list the steel as 440A, but it's actually 13C26, which has less chromium; however, it still has around 12% chromium in solution, putting it's corrosion resistance close to 440C. It shouldn't have rusted because of a problem with the steel.

I've had a mini mojo for about a month now and everytime I carry it, I see rust spots develop. This never happens to any of my other knives. Not even my D2 710.

The rust comes right off with a tuffcloth though.
