Kershaw Mini Thermite

According to the website its a Cabela's exclusive with a 3 inch blade instead of 3.5 and a glass filled nylon handle instead of G10.

Very interesting. Looking at the two together (on Cabelas' site), the Mini looks much more proportionate than the regular Thermite does. Wow.

3Cr13MOV for the mini.

I dont have anything against 8cr13, but 3Cr13 is a little too low end. Shame cause I like the look of the mini. Especially for gifts.

Cool. Looks like they kinda squished the design rather than scale it down which I like. Often simply scaling a design doesn't work out.

I just saw the price though, no thanks. Downgrade materials but up the price? I don't think so.

Thanks for your responses. I went ahead and bought one, mostly because I have a regular Thermite and love it, but also because I had a 10% off coupon. As Quiet and BladeCommander stated above, it's very well proportioned, looks and feels good in hand. It came fairly sharp, so we'll see how it fares with some use.

Can we get a few "real world" shots? Maybe a side by side?

I'm curious about the lockside.

Dude, don't you know how expensive 8CR is?

I kid, I kid. It seems to he infecting KAI's line up like a virus though. Sad really.

I can understand using it on the "two knives and a flashlight for $20" Walmart packs but it's looking like its going to become their standard steel for everything under $50.

This year's Strobe, Thistle, and Emerson collabs are under $50, and they're all 8Cr...

I really like my Blackwashed Thermite and now I can carry one concealed. Mine is currently awaiting a new Pivot Assembly and washers.
It was perfectly centered till the torsion bar broke.

Does anyone know the size of the pivot screw so I can buy a few extra ones that are a little longer?

Thanks
