Does anyone know what the B5 designation is on a Kershaw 1970 B5 burst?

This right here. I have a Kershaw Clash B5, made to sell at Big Five Stores. The only difference from the regular clash is the B5 version is unassisted. But this Burst is clearly marked Speedsafe. I see no difference in this B5 model.If I had to take a gamble, I would guess this is a run of the Kershaw Burst that was intended for Big 5 Sporting Goods. That being said, looking at the linked eBay auction, I do not see any visual differentiating feature that would make this model different than the standard model.
