Can one of my pals ;).. help me out...
I really want to purchase a MUDD tonight as my go to it folder... Im just worried its too large and so is the blade.. To to small or intricate cutting tasks..
So, Can somebody take some pictures to show it in various grips and perhaps next to a blur and/ or JYD II because I only own those two folders....
Also , where can I get a tool to take it apart?
Thanks
matt

Also...
Any one know where the thread is with the knife taken apart?

All the MUDD pics I have... Hopefully someone can be of more help.

the mudd is a pretty big folder for sure,,,id say the mudd is slightly larger than the jyd2,,,definetly more heavier/beefier

Here's a link to the MUDD passaround that is currently *ahem* LOST!

There's a few pics there, and a video slade did. I don't have any shots of it with a JYD II, but I will guarantee this: It's big, and built like a tank!

It's not lost at this point. If people wanted it found, we would have it. If someone stole it, they are just keeping a low profile. Its lame.

It makes a great edc, but is on the larger side. I currently have mine in my right front pocket and it has been my main edc for the past 2 months with only a brief absence for my BM 610 Rukus. Good thing about the size is the clip allows it all to slide inside your pocket with nothing showing on the outside except for the clip, I seated my clip lower on the handle and also shortened the clip to about 1" in length, rebent the tab at the end and now it looks almost like a pen is in my pocket. I don't know of a specialized tool for the pivot, but I found that two small nails, with tips ground flat, would fit in the holes and then I simply put a rod between the nails and this allows me to tighten or untighten the pivot. The MUDD will make a great go-to folder!!

You can track the saga in the Passaround Sub. Just look for the MUDD Passaround! The HPIC is working on it as we speak. But we haven't heard from him in a few weeks. Most likely a banning in the making, but that still doesn't replace the MUDD Thomas gave to us for a passaround. Very lame, bordering on moronic.

Here are some before photos!

Tom Krein is working on reprofiling it this week. a full flat grind down to .015 with a convex edge! :D

i wonder. if someone reprofiles a coated blade is there someone out there that would be able to reapply something like tungsten DLC? i consider it extremely useful for those crazy hard use tasks because you basically wash off whatever got deposited on the blade during use. i have a few coated blades i wouldn't mind reprofiling, but the half coated blade look never appealed.

Just bite the bullet and make an ugly knife that cuts like a light saber. Your friends may tell you your knife looks like crap until you cut newspaper in front of them.

And here she is!

It looks quite good in person. Alsmost as if it was a forged blade with a satin polished bevel.....oh and it easily makes all my other knives look dull thanks to the slight convex edge! :D

Thanks Tom!

That is sweet! Here comes mo'money outta my wallet!

It is well worth it! I will warn you though, before you know Tom could be regrinding all your stuff! He turned this brutish blade into a knife with perfect edge geometry and cutting/slicing power!

Imagine what he could do with an 0200!

EDIT and congrats on 5K! :)
