For 2001, Kershaw expands the versatility of their locking jaw multi-tool with the addition of a bit adapter that accepts 1/4 inch drive bits. The adapter and bits can be purchased sepparately or as a complete package with the tool itself. 6 bits:

[*] #0 Phillips
[*] #3 Phillips
[*] 9/32 flathead
[*] R-1 Robertson (square) drive
[*] T-15 Torx®
[*] T-5 Torx®

The adapter itself is firmly held in place in the pliers jaws. $24.95 is the list price for the adapter and bits without tool. $119.95 list for the tool and the adapter kit.

Hi Dex,
Where are these available? I checked Kershaw's Site and they don't list them. Also in the picture you posted above, it shows what looks to be a leather slip sheath for the tool. Is this the same one they list on their Site, (they don't provide a picture),? Thanks for any help Dex.

AFAIK these won't be out until next year. If I find out when I'll post here. They should have a special sheath that would accommodate both the tol, adaper, and bit holder - look at the pictures of the ballistic nylon sheaths. Sorr, not much info available now other than what the catalog says. Stay tuned...
