I just ordered the Kershaw Nakamura from our forum hosts at 1 Stop Knife Shop. It looks impressive in its picture and write up. Blade material is VG-10.

Unfortunately they are on backorder but that just gives me more time to smuggle it into the house when it finally arrives at the office.

I've tried to post a pic, but according to the preview, I guess that I haven't a clue how to do that.

Gorgeous and robust at the same time. You did well chosing this one. I like the abreviated clip and wonder if the tip down will be a bother. Because it is not a large knife I doubt that the clip placement will hinder deployment. Thank you for posting this complicated beauty. Don't hesitate to update after you receive it.

best, oregon

Beautiful design. The blade is even better than VG-10. "The blade has a clad VG10 stainless steel core with 420 J2 outer layers."

I have one and I love it. I wanted a smaller gent type knife, but something that still had a solid feel to it. This knife nails that. It's like a mini Al Mar SERE 2000 with better looks. The only thing I don't care for are the thumb studs which stick out pretty far and often catch my pants. I might have to grind them down. :) Also a little Flitz over the copper and brass in the bolsters helps to keep the metals from tarnishing as quickly.

I'll try that when it finally arrives. Excellent advice.

Thanks,
