Kershaw Natrix XS

Yeah, the XS is a definite buy for me. The copper handles seem like a great way to make a very handsome, unique gentleman's folder. Many 'fancier' modern folders strike me as over-the-top or gaudy, but this is a little more restrained and, as the copper patinas, will develop a unique character.

Copper scales and D2 steel! I'm in.

Looking to pick up one of these for my son. Not going to make it for his birthday though, I guess, with a July release date. Just have to stash it away for next Christmas.

The natrix was the worst knife i bought in 2017. They changed it up a bit for 2018 but it's the same knife with bearings instead of speedsafe. I won't buy another knife made in China kershaw. at this price point when so many other brands have so much better... Okc rat's, real steel, ruike etc.

I'm a fan of copper so it tempts me... I just don't want to get burned again. Fool me once.

I think this is one of those times where waiting for user feedback is warranted. If they have resesigned the knife to some degree, they have hopefully taken into account the user feedback on the previous iteration.

I’m pumped about the XL model (not the color scheme, though.) - I’ll wait for some youtube reviews before I consider putting my money down, though. I might even consider the Cu / D2 model for when I’m going somewhere that a 3.75” blade might seem a little inappropriate.

They look good on paper. If the QC is spotty, I might order one anyway, but ask the dealer to inspect them first - which they will generally gladly do if it means they won’t have to mess with returns.
