Just got this in the mail this morning:). It was a pretty sweet ebay score, like new in the origional box and I paid less then what a plastic handled Needs Work sells for. Anyone know exactly how many of these were made? I've heard numbers as low as 250 and as high as 600. I had the regular version stolen from my truck last year but to be honesy i was never really a big fan ofit. It made a sort of hollow sound when flicked open which made it feel cheap. This g10 version on the other hand feel and sounds nice and solid and Im really diggin it. I wonder why Kershaw made so few of them? Seems like it would be a good seller.

Forgot to ask if anyone knows of any replacements for the aweful pocket clip they put on these?

I got this from a member here, and he already had it tapped for tip up with a deep-carry clip from STR. I put the standoffs in.

I used the blue plastic one I won in a giveaway here today. That G10 version looks NICE.

I have a couple/few of the G-10 models. One of them is in my "beat the crap out of" rotation. I carry it or a reground S60V Blur blem whenever I'm painting or doing home repairs/remodeling etc.

Those all look good! I have the plastic one and you're right, it sounds hollow when it's flicked open. I got a quote for custom G10 handles right away, but never got around to actually sending the knife to get them made. My other complaint is that the flipper is a little too slick, I think I'll add some deeper jimping on it.

It's always cool to find a cool knife like that and getting it at a nice price, congratulations.

None of my knives are safe queens and they all get carried and used but for real hard use I don't think I could bring myself to use my limited production knives.

i have one of the standard ones around here somewhere. Never really loved the blade shape but that thing has INCREDIBLE speed. By far the fastest assist i have

The blade shape is what I like most about it its like a utility knife on PEDs! What I don't like is the short handle and the pocket clip though I guess the clip could be worse after all Kershaw did make the hideous JYD clip.

I like the blade shape the most as well. I agree with you on the clip too.
