Kershaw Needs Work, made for bow drilling?

I just recieved a Needs Work from a friend and noticed that the crop circle looking grips might make a good bow drill hand hold. Has anyone ever used it for such? I dont know if the material, polyimide, would stand up to the frisction. Thoughts?

Polyimide feels like soft rubber so I don't think it would work very well.

The material on my knife is super hard. Not rubber at all... I'll try tonight. If it holds up I will post results.

Erm.... I wouldn't. I would think the friction built up would create enough heat to mess your scale up and be borderline abuse. In am emergency? Maybe.... But I wouldn't recommend it for something to do often, owning 3 (1 Poly, 2 G-10) I wouldn't recommend it at all, but it's your knife.
