It's been a while since I bought a "budget" Kershaw (foreign made) and I had forgotten how great of a job Kershaw does with all their knives. I was gifted a Tremor today and can't belive how nice it is. The F&F is fantastic, the blade sits dead center and the lockup is rock solid. This is just straight out of the box too with no adjustments. Only downside is the one I got is partially serrated. Plain edge is my preference so that's not really a "con" to the knife itself. I think I'll be picking up one or two more of these more affordable Kershaws to carry along side my XM as beaters. I know this one will be seeing PLENTY of use. Any recommendations on which one I should get next? I may just pick up a plain edge Tremor since I love the design but the compound looks nice as well.

I think you should look at the Kershaw Scamp, Volt 2 and Chill.

All have excellent F&F and the scamp is being discontinued this ear, so get one while you still can!

The Tremor, Asset and Compound are all good for the price you pay.

Sithus, thanks for that pic. I think I may get the compound. I like the size...just smaller than the tremor.

Do you own the chill? What do you think of it?

I have been looking at one, but i just dont know about that thin blade.

I do not own a Chill, but I have held one and I was rather impressed. For just under $20, the best value I have ever seen.

I think the thin blade would preform fine under light use. I wouldn't be worried about the thin blade and for $20 you can buy one and test it out for yourself. If you don't like it you can add it to your collection or just carry it as a beater until it breaks.
