This is a nice knife here designed by Lee Williams and offered by Kershaw. Nice sleek lines. Kind of sexy and elegant yet beefy and masculine at the same time. I thought at first it was an assisted opener when I first opened it but its not. Its just that smooth.
Anyway, the lock has been exposed now on the lock side so the index can come into contact with it better. This is a nice feature I think and certainly steps up a liner lock to the next level of security and reliability in lock safety.
Its an especialy nice 'frame lock like' feature in these thicker liner knives like this one and the JYDII from Kershaw but it does a nice job on thinner ones like that Emerson I did the other day too.
Anyway, while I had it taking pics of the lock work I thought I'd show it all over. Note the thick chunky stainless liner and lock on this model. Nice G10 scales with trac tec inserts for grip on the non clip side. Reverseable clip and a nice wide pattern for the screws making this one a nice candidate for a low rider which will be coming from users I'm sure.
Kind of neat the way Kershaw did the flipper on this model guys. When the blade is closed you can see it. When its open you can't. This is because the flipper is actually a separate part and not part of the blade. It spins on its own pivot and is not only the flipper but its also the blade stop for when its opened and the blade rest for when it is closed.
I tell ya these guys over at Kershaw are kicking some tail with the new knives coming all the time.:thumbup::thumbup: Three thumbs up on this one for Kershaw!!! Its a winner in 13C26 and guess what? Its a nice thinner hollow grind on this model. .018 at the point right above the bevel. Much better than the ones I've seen in the past.
Looking good guys!
